Stair climber

For the stair climber application Framo designed a 3-stage spur gear unit. The stair climber can be easily attatched to almost any commercially available wheelchair and comfortably tranports persons up to 160 kg over stairs and other obstacles.
To meet the extremely high demands in respect of noise and reliability, special attention was paid to the quality of the gear components. This was the main reason for the customer to choose Framo as supplier for the gear unit.

Brewing module

The grounded coffee is moved from the grinding mill to the brew socket where it is compressed. Now hot water is feed-in and blends with the coffee while passing through the brew piston. When the brewing is finished the brewing module moves to the ejection position. When the coffee is ejected the brew part moves back to the home position, allowing the procedure to start again from the beginning.

Spindle Unit for Trailer Mover

The spindle unit is part of a trailer maneuvering system, pushing the friction wheel drive against the tires of the trailer. The stroke force of the spindle is critical because it determines the pressure on the friction wheel. The maneuvering system is operated by remote control - enabling the trailer to be maneuvered into tight parking spaces without using a car.

Stair lift

The drive moves a stair lift. Beneath the main up- and down-movement (1) the drive can compensate the inclination (2) and direction (3) of the stair.
This guarantees that the seat is always leveled and accessible, independent from the position of the lift.

Robotics/Automotive

Planetary gears with one or more stages and low backlash are used for applications such as robot axis movement and positioning tasks in wafer fabrication or in the automotive field.

Facade Technology

A worm gear has been developed for facade technology which can handle up to 800 Nm.
