Framo Morat in electric cars Framo Morat received the serial nomination from one of the worldwide biggest automotive suppliers - Continental - for the rotor shaft production that will drive a cars electric motor. During the last three years the design teams of both companies intensively worked on the realization of this successful project, so that the serial production can be started in the beginning of 2011. During the project with Continental, Framo was able to contribute with its entire process know how and the full depth of production. Please read more here... Products Framo-products in Automotive The use of Framo products in the automotive branch isn't new at all. In the past we developed gear parts and entire drive systems which were successfully realized in mass production. Here some examples: Shafts for forklift motors require high-quality materials and the greatest precision to withstand extreme load conditions. The spindle unit is part of a trailer maneuvering system, pushing the friction wheel drive against the tires of the trailer. The stroke force of the spindle is critical because it determines the pressure on the friction wheel. The maneuvering system is operated by remote control - enabling the trailer to be maneuvered into tight parking spaces without using a car. The adjustment unit evaluates signals from an electronic controller on the tractor and adjusts the desired gear ratio on the tractor by means of the integrated electrical motor with planetary gear via the adjustment unit's output shaft.
